Found 3 new wildflowers: Herb Robert, Mountain Watercress, Northern White Violet. Heard the song of the woodthrush on 10 separate days. Spotted 10 wild turkeys, 6 groundhogs, 12 deer, 11 chipmunks, 10 rabbits, 6 goldfinch sightings, a box turtle, a redheaded woodpecker, a black snake prodded out of the road with my walking stick, and 1 swayback horse.
Spotted 8 triple crosses, 4 mountain race cars, 3 saw mills, 3 grist mills, photographed 7 barber shops, 4 fire trucks, 2 post offices, and 1 church interior. No American Dog Ticks, too cold. Nearly ran over 3 shoulder dogs, crept by 8 fighting cock growers, and counted 63 dead possums.
