Enter the Inverted World

     Here's a revealing note.  When peeking thru the viewfinder I see only colors, shapes, textures, and patterns initially, with no reference to content or subject matter.  It's always been that way.  Composing, arranging these elements into appealing themes.  Then, immediately before releasing the shutter, only as an afterthought, do I adjust for the object in front of me.  Be it landscape, door, creek, flower, or whatever.  Try it sometime and enter the inverted world of Doctor Flowers.

Fung-O-Rama

.
     It's been many, many Moons since I had a fruitful day amongst the Fungi.  Many Moons.  The way I work - kinda go-left, go-right wandering serendipity - I easily miss the right mix of circumstances, a thoroughly wet period, a patch of ripe woods and the chance to spend some time afoot.  Here in the shadow the granite dome, after a week of 'scattered' thunder storms including a few soakers the Park sprang alive with Fungi enough to leave a few, after the dogs and their walkers kicked most over, for Old Doc to photograph.  I don't know mushrooms.  So, you fungi experts might chime in with a few ID's.
