The flipside of Springtime ATL beauty is the pollen haze that distorts everything from Flowers' lens to the daredevil cortex of juvenile squirrels, skittering broke-legged out of my path, the damage done by the car ahead of me. Alas.

That is mighty fine, Doc.

This may be my favorite Flowers photo ever. Much is suggested here of the cycles and fates of trees, yet its not about that or anything, I don't think. The best kind of photo by my lights.
