Last summer a gardener friend and I rescued a mess of pink ladyslippers from some woods that were going to leveled for a shopping center. Out of 7 that I brought back and planted in my backyard woodland garden, 6 have survived and 3 have made slippers thus far this spring. But I agree with you, Doc: it is always pleasant to come upon them by surprise in the wild. Slim

The colours in the water really do look like they were painted! Nice photo :)
