Sorry to hear about your digital's demise. I had (and still own the remains) an X-570. It didn't survive a knocked over tripod fall in 2001. The repairs would have cost more than the $169 I paid for it new in 1984. Even though it's just a paper weight now, I can't bear to get rid of it because it was a faithful companion for many years. I'm glad to hear that yours is still in service.
