True to its Flycatcher reputation, the Eastern Phoebe perches calmly yet ready to swoop for a mid-air snatch of the unwary bug, tidbit and morsel. The dangling yellow catkins, male flowers of the Hazel Alder tree, prepare to pollinate the females, the small blurry reddish forms.
