This carnivorous snapdragon-like 'rootless' flower is supported by a spokey whorl of spongy bladders. They also function as snares using a vacuum to capture invertebrates unlucky enough to trigger its trap door. Once inside the bladder, the prey is quietly digested by enzymes secreted by the plant.
